After attending church in the morning we were invited to their annual hog roast. We had some amazing pork while listening to great music by a live performer.

Tried out another church on Sunday. We went to New Site Baptist Church. We had a great time and the preacher spoke about Psalm 23 and how we will all face valleys and shadows in our lives. After church we all went out to grab some pizza together as a family. Then we came back home and watched some football and took a rest before gearing up for the new week of learning. All in all it was a great Sunday!

Everyone is in class after breakfast with Professor Billie. Yesterday, following Billie's instructions, the students worked together to clean up the house, tidy their bedrooms, and wash their laundry. After lunch today we are going to work together to build a scarecrow to display at our booth at the Cider Days festival in Springfield this weekend.

Days 4 and 5

The fun experiences continue to happen here at Barnabas Prep. On Sunday we all went to Monett Community Church. The congregation was very welcoming and listened to a great sermon about remembering the past and how the past has shaped our future.

On Monday we finally began our classes with Billie. For the first two weeks we are going to be going over a lot of basics about taking care of the place we live in and taking care of ourselves. So, to start off, Billie helped us all create a meal plan for the week and in turn create a shopping list. In the afternoon we all headed to Wal-Mart for a massive grocery search-and-find event as we broke up into teams to get everything on the list for our upcoming meals. Every student went into the isles picking up the necessary items on the list. We had such a great time!

Our reward for a great day of shopping....steak and potatoes for dinner!! Mmmhhhmmmm!
